Easy
to Use
Written
specifically for the Windows 95/98 environment CARApro provides a visually
attractive system that is remarkably easy to use. This is vitally important
if you are considering buying a computer for the first time. With CARApro
everything you need to do requires just a simple click of the mouse.
CARApro's
attractive design gives you a "toolbar" of buttons that let
you point and click the mouse to help you work a case in seconds. If you
prefer to use a keyboard then CARApro lets you do this although many of
CARApro’s best features are more accessible with a mouse and are
quicker to perform. You will always find CARApro very intuitive to use
whether you use a mouse or the keyboard.
CARApro
is designed purely and simply with Microsoft Windows in mind. Standard
Windows techniques are applied in common with most other commercial software
you can buy. CARApro works the way other software does so you will quickly
find yourself able to use other Windows software as well. And if you already
use other Windows software, learning CARApro will be even easier!.
CARApro
contains a comprehensive database of repertories and rubrics for you to
use which is continually being expanded. A unique electronic repertory
called the Combined Repertory is one of the primary sources of information.
To further enhance the database CARApro also contains Boericke's Repertory
and Phatak's Repertory. These repertories are all provided as standard
with every CARApro system. You can choose to add on to CARApro famous
and renowned repertories, Murphy's Medical Repertory and the renowned
Complete Repertory from Roger van Zandvoort.
The
Combined Repertory was originally based on Kent's Repertory but has been
considerably expanded and now contains thousands of additions. Many of
these additions have been taken from the same sources used in the Synthetic
Repertory and significantly expand the Mental, General, Sleep, Dreams
and Sexual rubrics. The Combined Repertory retains the same schema of
chapters and rubric layout as the original Kent’s Repertory.
Also included
in the Combined Repertory are all of the additions to Kent suggested by
Vithoulkas (we have taken great care to conform to the style and meanings
used by Kent) . For good measure we also incorporated the provings of
the new remedies Scorpion, Hydrogen, Chocolate, Iridium, Neon, Brassica,
Diamond, Germanium, Tungsten, Lac humnaum, Fire, Granite, Marble and Limestone.
All in all CARApro’s Combined Repertory provides a comprehensive
source of rubrics and remedies for you to work with.
The
Homeopathic Medical Repertory by Robin Murphy ND is an immensely popular
repertory all over the world. Departing from the traditional Kentian layout
Murphy has re-ordered the repertory strictly alphabetically and has introduced
many more chapters to improve the accessibility of the repertory. Murphy
has also introduced the use of modern medical terms for many rubrics to
make the repertory more useable by contemporary homeopaths.
The Complete
Repertory is acknowledged as the premier repertory work available. Its
author Roger van Zandvoort and his team have created a repertory that
contains entries from reliable classical sources combined with contemporary
provings. Working with a small group of students, mainly Dr. Jost Kunzli's,
the team began working on corrections and additions of Boenninghaussen's
Repertory, Boger's Additions to Kent's Repertory & Sivaraman's additions
& corrections to Kent's Repertory. Today the Complete Repertory has
more than 515,000 additions compared to Kent and more than 15,000 cross
references.
Whether simply
comparing remedy additions to existing rubrics or even new rubric additions,
the Complete lives up to its name! However the improvements are not limited
to remedy additions from classical sources. The Complete also contains
the repertory additions from the most modern published provings. Thus
remedies such as Chocolate, Granite, Limestone, Hydrogen etc. are all
to be found in the Complete repertory. Little wonder that leading homeopaths
the world over rely exclusively on the Complete Repertory.
One of the
advantges of CARApro's Complete Repertory over others is that all the
additions made to the Complete Repertory show the author number (and CARApro
also shows you the suthor name) . This helps you to trace back to the
source of each addition. Here is an example:
ABRUPT (19)
