RADAR only has Synthesis nothing else. MacRep has more repertories than CARApro but they are poorly implemented. Cara is the only program that lets you search all the repertories simultaneously - a MAJOR attraction especially for students and new practitioners. With other softwares you have to do a search, close a repertory, open a new repertory and repeat the search to do what Cara does in one operation! And the MacRep implementation of Murphy's Repertory is poor with several chapters being amalgamated into one on MacRep !! Also in CARA we have most updated combined Repertory

•  WHAT IS COMBINED REPERTORY??

The Combined Repertory was originally based on Kent's Repertory but has been considerably expanded and now contains thousands of additions. Many of these additions have been taken from the same sources used in the Synthetic Repertory and significantly expand the Mental, General, Sleep, Dreams and Sexual rubrics. The Combined Repertory retains the same schema of chapters and rubric layout as the original Kent’s Repertory.

It is worth stressing that Cara's Combined Repertory offers facilities the others don’t have yet - for example ALL of the remedy provings of the Dynamis School and a few extras like Tungsten and Nusula Eising's provings.

• EASY SEARCH

CARA’s searching is the best ! It is the only program that lets you word search all repertories (as mentioned previously). MacRep can be painfully slow to search for words even across the one repertory it can handle at one time. CARA's searching is fast on all speeds of computer. MacRep's use of synonyms is very poor. Cara's searching is faster than RADAR on equivalent word searches.

We strongly believe that it is difficult for anyone to master a repertory. What we know is hardly 10% of the repertory, & we boast we know all. Most of the times we spend much of the time in locating a peculiar rubric of the case which we know is given somewhere in the repertory but we don’t know where. In such situations only CARA is of help to you. CARA searches all the repertories installed in all the sections & finds the exact rubric which you are looking for. E.g. The other day one of my patient had diagonal joints affections. I was not able to locate the rubric. CARA helped me to locate this rubric within 10 seconds, not only this I was able to add diagonal affection from Phatak repertory containing 18 remedies to form a single super rubric.

• THEMATIC SEARCH (CONCEPTS)

CARA’s thematic search is the most useful tool for homeopaths who want to find the right similimum. Today homoeopathic practise is just not taking few symptoms & repertorising it & giving the remedy showing maximum score but today we try to look behind what the patient says. We try to understand his state, understand his basic feeling, his basic delusions. This has lead to interpreting rubrics in more general terms. CARA’s thematic search has been based on the original work of Jose mirilli, so our implementation of Mirilli's work is fast and easy to use. e.g. when you search for the theme of "AMBITION" other than the rubrics which covers word ambitious it also searches following rubrics which originally do not contain the word ambitious, but thinking on these rubrics deeply you will get a feeling of being ambitious.

RADAR's use of 'Concepts' is tricky to use and seems over complicated. MacRep has no equivalent facility.

• SOPHISTICATED REPERTORISATION

Cara matches MacRep (if not exceeds it) in terms of analysis by Families, Classifications, Periodic Table and so on. Every type analysis that MacRep offers CARA can do. RADAR offers little in comparison in this area. Although it may seem a little strange, one of our strengths over MacRep is that we offer LESS charts - the MacReps charts are just too 'over the top', very pretty, but no use at all! Our charts are good-looking, functional and easy to use. RADAR's charts are basic but little else.

• Multimedia

MacRep has no multimedia facilities at all. RADAR has some but they are limited (despite the pre-release hype). CARA is the only one that has remedy photos and audio lectures of almost all the leading homeopaths of the world. Its almost equal to seven hours of audio lecture.
